Keith Michael Stephens

The family of Mr. Keith Michael Stephens gratefully acknowledges all expressions of sympathy shown during their time of bereavement and loss. May God continue to richly bless each of you.
Mr. Keith Michael Stephens, age sixty-two, departed this life and entered into eternal rest Sunday, August 18, 2024 at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. He was born February 4, 1962 to the late Albert, Sr. and Rosalind Richmond Stephens and attended the St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Leasburg, North Carolina.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers: Albert, Jr. "Buster," Stanley B. and George Christopher Stephens; and one sister, Rachael B. Paylor.
He leaves to cherish precious memories, two daughters: Janay Stephens and Ariel Stephens, both of Roxboro, North Carolina; one son, Markeith Stephens of the home; the mother of his children, Consuela S. Stephens of Roxboro; nine grandchildren; a special friend, Sandra Scoggins, also of Roxboro; three sisters: Sarah S. Humphrey (Terry) of Leasburg, North Carolina, Sharon Stephens of Creedmoor, North Carolina and Minister Judy W. Moore, also of Roxboro; four brothers: Antonio Stephens of Forestville, Maryland, Albert "Pete" Stephens ( Damita) of Chicago, Illinois, Steve Woods (Margaret) of Roxboro and Jeffrey Winstead of Leasburg; two aunts: Ella R. Woods and Virginia Sue Richmond, both of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; two uncles: George Richmond (Shirlie) of Roxboro and Wimblett Barnett, also of Philadelphia; four special cousins: Randy Stephens, Ronald Pass, Elijah Paylor, Jr. and James Richmond; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, August 25, 2024 at 2:00pm at Cunningham and Nelson Funeral Home with Elder Terry Scoggins, Pastor at The Holy Temple of Jesus Christ in Timberlake, North Carolina, providing the eulogy. Burial will follow in the St. James Baptist Church Cemetery, 1065 Solomon Lea Road in Leasburg, North Carolina 27583.
A public viewing and visitation will be Saturday at the funeral home from 12:00pm to 4:00pm with the family present during the last hour from 3:00pm to 4:00pm. His body will lie in state Sunday at the funeral home Chapel from 1:00pm to 2:00pm, one hour prior to the service.
