Keith Tomkins Obituary
Carlton “Keith” Tomkins, age 87, lifetime resident of Route 336, died on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, following several months of deteriorating health.
The family will receive friends at Covert Funeral Home in Ovid from 2:00pm to 4:00pm on Thursday, April 3, 2025. A memorial will then be held at 4:00pm, led by Brian Tomkins. Kindly consider a donation in Keith’s memory to Alzheimer's Association www.alz.org.
Keith was born in Lodi on February 11, 1938, a son of the late Carlton M. and Grace M. (nee Stork) Tomkins and graduated from Romulus High School in 1956. He worked the family farm and was married Dorothy Rouse on February 9, 1963, together they made their home in MacDougall for over 50 years. For many years, Keith worked as a truck driver for Crown Tire of Auburn while also farming.
He is survived by his children, Karen (Doug) Bush of Farmington, Gary (Susan) Tomkins of Clifton Springs and Brian (Crystal) Tomkins of Waterloo; his grandchildren, Ryan (Jordyn) Bush, Justin (Lisa) Tomkins, Zackary and Nickolas Tomkins; great grandchildren, Henry and Mila Tomkins and Benjamin Bush. Keith was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, “Dot” in 2020.
