Keith John VanSomeren

With heavy hearts and fond memories, we announce the passing of Keith John VanSomeren, a spirited soul who roamed this earth from March 3, 1952, until December 5, 2024. Born in the quaint town of Baldwin, Wisconsin, Keith was a free spirit, embracing life with a zest that was truly infectious.
A lover of woodwork and the great outdoors, Keith found joy in the sound of saws and the thrill of deer hunting, always ready for a new adventure or a new project to tinker with. A proud motorcycle enthusiast, he took to the open road with the wind in his hair, embodying the very essence of freedom. Keith was known for his mechanical knack, and beautiful wood working.
But above all, Keith was a devoted father and a proud grandfather. He cherished every moment spent with his grandkids. They were his pride and joy, and he never missed an opportunity to brag about their accomplishments, his heart swelling with pride as he shared their achievements with all who would listen.
Keith is survived by his daughter Denise (Tim) Monicken with grandchildren Gabby, Maddi, and Graiden; daughter Michelle (Brian) Becker with grandchildren Nick and Nathan; son Chris (Jillian) VanSomeren with grandchildren Logan (Jatelyn) and Tessa; brothers Doug (Betty) VanSomeren, Wayne VanSomeren; sisters Char (Bud) DeVos and Karen (Doug) Wynveen, and friend/cousin and former business partner Phil (Debbie) VanSomeren. Along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and close friends. Keith was preceded in death by his parents John & Jane VanSomeren; brother David VanSomeren.
A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor on December 13, 2024, at O'Connell Family Funeral Home in Baldwin, starting at 4:00 PM. Join us in remembering the man who cherished the simple joys, who filled our lives with laughter and love, and who taught us to embrace every moment.
