Kelley Ann Woodside passed from this life into the arms of our Lord on August 15, 2025. Kelley was 64 years old. She was born on May 24, 1962, in Nashville, Tennessee. She was a lifelong resident of Nashville.

She graduated from Father Ryan high school. She received her undergraduate degree from Brescia University in Owensboro, Kentucky. She furthered her education earning a master's degree from both the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and at Trevecca University in Nashville. She was an impassioned educator and a pursuer of her own knowledge. She was a teacher who specialized in special education. Teachers are some of the most important and influential people many will meet in their lives. Kelley was passionate in advocating for her students and their families. She also influenced her fellow teachers as an educator regarding special education practices. Her final position was Director of Special Education at Maury County Public Schools.

She is survived by her partner of 27 years, Janice McCaleb. She is survived by her sister, Valerie Thayer (Mike Hutchins) of Lebanon, Tennessee; and brothers, Bill Woodside (Gale) of Elizabethton, Tennessee and Mike Woodside (Karen) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Kelley had many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Woodside; and brother, Paul Woodside.

Kelley loved all things UT orange and was a staunch supporter of all UT athletic programs…..go Vols! She loved sports, hiking and crafts. There was not a person who was more fun loving, kind, loyal and generous to be found. Family was extremely important to Kelley.

A celebration of life will be held on September 20,2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the private dining room at Legends restaurant in Smyrna, Tennessee.
