Kellie Major

NEW PALESTINE – Kellie (Walton) Major, age 50, of New Palestine, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at her home. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on June 14, 1973 to Ivan Irons and Kathy O'Connor. She graduated from New Palestine High School in 1992 and furthered her education by taking some college courses. She married Matthew Major on November 20, 1993 in Greenfield, Indiana.
Kellie served the community by working in the medical field as a phlebotomist. In her free time, she enjoyed swimming and gardening. She loved flowers and admired their beauty. She also cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Matthew Major; sons, Dustin (Jessica) Major and Ivan Major; daughter, McKaila (Trejon Latta) Major; parents, Ivan Irons and Kathy O'Connor; and grandchildren, Raylee and Charlee Major.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will follow the visitation on May 21, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at the mortuary. Burial will follow at Washington Park East in Indianapolis, Indiana.
