Kelly was born October 7, 1970, at Healdton, Ok, to the late Mrs. Nancy Paulette (Gross) Singleton. He departed this life September 17, 2025, at his home in Healdton.
Raised in Healdton, Kelly was a proud graduate of Healdton High School. From a young age, he demonstrated a strong work ethic, beginning his career in the oilfield as a derrick hand during his teenage years. His commitment and determination led him to transition into truck driving, a profession he embraced for 13 years. Kelly enjoyed the freedom of the open road and took great pride in hauling all kinds of freight. Beyond his professional pursuits, Kelly had diverse interests that brought him joy. He enjoyed tinkering and working on cars, watching football, calling those hogs. His love for the sport was matched only by his enthusiasm for cooking, where he dedicated time to learning new recipes and perfecting his skills in the kitchen. Kelly Don Eakin will be remembered for his unwavering spirit, dedication to his work, and the joy he brought to those around him, and he leaves behind cherished memories that will continue to inspire those who knew him.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Nancy and Buddy Singleton and nephew, Robbie Howard.
Survivors include his daughter, Emilie Mertin of Rogers, Arkansas; sister, Shelly Forson of Ardmore; grandchildren, Easton and Ava Mertin of Rogers, Arkansas; niece, Chelsey Howard of Healdton; special friends, Wes Christopher and Brian West, both of Healdton; numerous other family and friends.
