Kelly Dee Hanson, age 49, of Watertown, SD, passed peacefully on Friday, May 30th, 2025, at Ava's House in Sioux Falls, SD. Visitation will be at the Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown on Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 1:00 p.m. led by Pastor Steve Anderson.
Kelly was born to Kenneth Nyman and Brenda Bush on December 16th, 1975, in Aberdeen, SD. She grew up in Britton, SD, and attended Britton High School where she graduated in 1995. While in high school she worked at Britton Manor. After high school, she worked at Dacotah and various places around Webster, SD. She then moved to Watertown, SD, raised her family and where she now called "Home". Kelly started her own cleaning business and kept busy with several clients that adored her demeanor and boasted of her attention to detail. Cowboy Country Store became her new passion for work. Oh how she loved the customers and all the people she met. She then took her current job at Persona to be able to spend more time with her husband.
Kelly loved to cook and bake for family and friends and often shared some of her favorite recipes. She took so much pride in preparing meals and wanted to share with everyone. Kelly also loved to ride motorcycle and garden. She made the best salsa in town from her vegetable garden. She will be deeply missed by all she has touched over her short time in this world.
Kelly is survived by her husband, Dale Hanson; mother, Brenda Bush (Craig Metzger); dad, Roger Bush (Mary Kidwiler); step-mother, Vicki Nyman; sisters, Andrea Lindberg (Dean), Jodi Bush (Dave Derzab), Sharleen Stevens (Jeff); children, Taylor McLaughlin (Kendra), Alec Bush, Brianna McLaughlin (Kyler Zehren).
Preceded in death by her father, Kenneth (Kenny) Nyman.
