Kelly Martin, age 64, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024 surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Kelly was a loving & devoted Mother, Sister, Aunt, Niece, & Friend. Kelly dedicated her entire life to her two kids. Her kids and family can attest that she was always supportive, encouraging, loving, and kind to everyone around her. She always sacrificed her needs for others. Kelly loved the Lord and was a dedicated servant in her faith. She constantly told her family & friends that she was so thankful for the life the Lord had given her.
Kelly loved to cook, be by the beach, music, cookouts with her family, playing cards, & laughing with her family & friends. She loved her puppy dogs - Sophie & Bella. Kelly was a dedicated worker. Colleagues became her friends over 35 years of service to her company.
Kelly will always be remembered as a selfless, loving person who always had a warm smile and hug. She had a quiet strength and handled life with resilience and grace. She will be missed by everyone who loved her tremendously.
Kelly was born on June 8th, 1960 to the late Donald Edward Glover and Peggy Frye Glover. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Terry Sistrunk Wicker & her brother Michael Sistrunk.
She is survived by her daughter Allison Howard (Tanner) of Garner, NC; son Alex Martin (Courtney) of Sanford, NC.
Sisters, Karen Kehagias (Dan) of Surf City, NC; Kathy Matthews (Donald) of Sanford, NC; Brother John Phillip Saari of Sanford, NC. Niece, Amy Cole (Marty) of Sanford, NC. Nephews, Jared & Nick Kehagias. Grandchildren - Emma, Paisley, & Kennedy Jane.
A celebration of life cookout will be held on Sunday, June 23rd, 2024. Family, friends, & peers are welcome to float to and from the home of Kathy & Donald Matthews between 2-6 PM. Address is 4732 Saint Andrews Church Rd, Sanford, NC 27332.
