Kelly Lynn Osborne was born on August 25, 1988, in Keosauqua, IA to Darrel and Pamela Lura Osborne. He attended school in Keosauqua graduating with the Van Buren High School Class of 2006. Upon graduation he furthered his education and passion for mechanics at Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa. After graduation he returned home to where he always wanted to be, working with the family at Osborne Oil.
Kelly had a passion and talent for turning a wrench and diagnosing a problem. He loved working with his parents and brother in the family business and enjoyed taking care of his customers. Kelly's love for being a mechanic was second only to his love for his wife, Amanda, and their two children, Evan and Owen. Kelly and Amanda began their journey together as husband and wife in 2016 and began their family. Kelly was usually not hard to find. He was either working at the shop or at home spending quality time with his wife and boys.
When he took time to himself, he liked taking a quiet motorcycle ride on his Harley through Van Buren County. He was known to many as a quiet presence but to his family he was a goofball from day one. His impact on his family, his friends and his community will not soon be forgotten.
Kelly was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James and Vera Osborne and his maternal grandfather, Gerald Lura.
Left to share his story is his loving wife, Amanda Osborne of Keosauqua, IA; his two boys, Evan and Owen; his parents, Darrel and Pam Osborne of Keosauqua; three siblings, Krystal (Chad) Ewing of Hamilton, IL, Kyle (Sam) Osborne of Keosauqua, and Kathryn (Arick) Loew of Storm Lake, IA; six nieces and nephews, Logan and Ainsley Ewing, Leo and Nolan Osborne, and Avry and Kobe Loew; his grandmother, Darlene Lura; his Brother-in-law, Travis Page; his uncle, Kevin Lura and aunt, LuAnn Lura, as well as many extended family and many, many friends.
