Lenn Dean Kruse, 64, of Keosauqua, peacefully passed away at his home on October 10, 2025. In accordance with his wishes his body has been cremated and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Memorials in Lenn's honor to a memorial to be designated later by the family may be mailed to 1209 6th Street, Keosauqua, IA 52565. Born on September 7, 1961, in Cresco, Iowa, Lenn was the cherished son of Glenn Kruse and Cheryl (Crouch) Cook. He shared his childhood with five siblings-Bill Kruse, Sharon Cook, Heidi Corbin, Heather Cook-Gajapur, and Kim Pierce (Ed)-growing up first in Mabel, Minnesota before settling with his family in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa.
Lenn's early life was shaped by strong family bonds and the values instilled by his parents. After completing his schooling, Lenn joined the Air Force, proudly earning an honorable discharge. On November 6, 1991, Lenn married his soulmate, Rhonda Kruse, in Kahoka, Missouri. Together, they built a loving family, welcoming four children-Josh, Ryan, Aimee, and Kirstee-who became the center of Lenn's world.
A hardworking man with a knack for fixing things, Lenn spent 20 years working as a mechanic. His dedication and love of the open road inspired him to become an independent truck driver, a career he pursued for another 15 years. Lenn's tireless work ethic and sense of adventure defined much of his life, earning him the respect and admiration of all who knew him.
Lenn's memory lives on in the hearts of many. He is deeply missed by his wife, Rhonda; his mother, Sheryl Cook; his beloved children, Josh, Ryan, Aimee, and Kirstee; his siblings, Bill Kruse, Sharon Cook, Heidi Corbin, and Heather Cook-Gajapur; and twelve grandchildren who brought boundless joy to his life. Lenn was preceded in death by his father, Glenn; his sister, Kim Pierce (Ed); his brother-in-law, Ed Pierce; and his grandmother, Doris Crouch.
Lenn's story is one of devotion-to family, country, and hard work. His legacy of kindness, strength, and loyalty will be carried forward by those who knew and loved him.
