Kelly Sue Tice

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kelly Sue Tice, a devoted mother, beloved sister, and cherished friend, who left this world on January 24, 2026, in her hometown of Wichita, Kansas. Born on May 18, 1963, she navigated through life with an indomitable spirit, touching the lives of everyone she met.

Kelly dedicated an impressive 20 years of her career to the Coleman Company, embracing its challenges with a unique blend of love and frustration. Yet, when the moment came to make a choice, Kelly chose family without hesitation. Her decision to stay home to support her children and help raise her grandchildren illustrated the depth of her quiet strength and the unwavering love she held for those closest to her.

Every moment with Kelly was filled with warmth and laughter. She was the heart and soul of every family gathering, loved for her generous spirit and her talent for cooking. Whether it was a casual meal or a festive feast, Kelly delighted in feeding anyone who was hungry, transforming ordinary days into memorable occasions with her culinary creations. Her laughter, often paired with playful teasing directed at her grandchildren, created a joyful atmosphere that will be profoundly missed.

Kelly had a vibrant personality that drew people to her. She was fun-loving and supportive, always striving to be there for her loved ones. Her hobbies—swimming and gardening—represent just a slice of the passions that made her who she was, although health challenges eventually curtailed some of these interests.

Kelly is survived by her son Larry Tice, daughters Katie Dates and Rachel Vasquez, and sons-in-law Grail Dates and Bamish Peterson. She will also be remembered fondly by her siblings: Gina, Joyce, Judy, and Terry Tice, as well as her dear brother Clinton (Pete) Tice. Each of them carries a piece of her spirit with them, shaped by the love and laughter she shared throughout her life.

Kelly was predeceased by her parents, Kay Hatfield Tice and Perry James Tice, and her brother, Larry Tice. Their memories will live on as a testament to her legacy, forever entwined with the laughter, warmth, and love she brought into the world.
