It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kelly Vidrine, who left us peacefully on June 3, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on March 14, 1947, in Ville Platte, LA, Kelly lived a life marked by love, dedication, and service.

A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, Kelly earned the Purple Heart while bravely serving his country. He carried this honor with pride, just as he carried his deep love for family and community. He spent his life establishing lasting relationships with everyone he met.

Kelly was the loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather to a beautiful family that includes his granddaughters, Megan Vidrine and Shelby Bailey, along with his great-grandchildren: Kyson Dozart, Parker Hamilton, Landon Singleton, and Korbin Cradure. He is also survived by his brothers, Walter (Rachael) Vidrine, Paul Vidrine, and Jeff LeJeune; and his sister, Shirlene (Richard) Clark.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Kelly's life at Johnson Funeral Home, 4321 Lake Street, Lake Charles, LA, on Tuesday June 10, 2025 beginning at 9:00 a.m. and continue until 11:00 a.m. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. with military honors, for his dedication to our country.

Kelly Vidrine will be remembered as a loving and caring person, whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten.

Kelly was preceded in death by his son, Lamont Vidrine; parents, Elizabeth Perry and Hulin Vidrine and his beloved wife, Pamela Vidrine.
