Kelsey Marie Yonke, age 67 of Markesan, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Markesan on Monday, June 2, 2025.
Kelsey was born on August 5, 1957, in Everett Washington, daughter of Robert and Liberty (Parish) Trechel. For many years, Kelsey dedicated herself to housekeeping at the Airforce base while her husband served in the U.S. Airforce. Kelsey had a heart of gold, always ready to help others, even if it meant sacrificing her own needs. She was known for her generosity and her unwavering affection for her family. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren, with whom she created countless cherished memories.
An avid fan of the Green Bay Packers, Kelsey found excitement in every game. She enjoyed watching movies, with Tyler Perry being her favorite actor. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening and solving puzzles, activities that brought her peace and happiness. Kelsey will be remembered for her warmth, her laughter, and the love she shared with all who knew her.
Kelsey is survived by her three sons, Monte (Sandy) Whitney, Shane Whitney and Christopher Whitney; six grandchildren, Katlyn, Samantha, Hannah, Ariel, Kriston and Elizabeth; nine great grandchildren; four siblings, Roni Slater, Skip Slater, Robin Slater and Jim Weiller; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Mike Weiller, Fred (Linda) Weiller, Edith Texeira and Kelly (Ron) Fellows, further preceded in death by three brothers.
A celebration of Kelsey’s life will be held from 2:00 to 6:00p.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at the Whitney home 160 North Bridge Street, Markesan, WI.
