Ken Davis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home - El Dorado Springs on Dec. 24, 2025.
Kenneth Walter Davis of Schell City, Missouri went home to be with the Lord on December 22, 2025, at the age of 59. Ken was born June 13, 1966, to Paul William Davis Jr and Connie Sue (Malee) Davis of Schell City, Missouri, the fifth of six children. As a child growing up in Blue Springs, Ken played baseball, hunted, fished, and rode his unicycle up and down the gravel road. In school Ken enjoyed basketball, FFA, and 4H. Ken graduated from El Dorado Springs High School.
During his lifetime, Ken worked for Sibley & Thatch grocery store, Schell Osage Wildlife Conservation, and 3M Nevada. Ken had a true passion for hunting and archery. In 2019 he took 3rd place in the world at the IBO Traditional World Championship for archery. Ken did everything with pride and excellence. He took great pride in training archers for competition, sharing his knowledge and experience, and leading with excellence.
July 15, 2022, Ken was joined in marriage to Ginger Maus of Schell City, Missouri. They were re-baptized together, and Ken renewed his relationship with his Savior, Jesus Christ. With his marriage, Ken was blessed with 4 stepchildren: Trevor, Taylor, Andrea, and Arayah. He delighted in his role as Dad and as Papa to his ten grandchildren, and they delighted in him. His other true passion in life was serving as a greeter at church and heading up the church security team. Everyone who arrived at Life Church knew they were safe and welcome when greeted with Ken's smile.
Ken is survived by his wife, Ginger; his stepchildren: Trevor Seitz (Blair) of Nevada, Missouri, Taylor Ashworth (Cole) of Warsaw, Missouri, Andrea Bowline (Logan) of Neosho, Missouri, and Arayah Copes of the home; his ten grandchildren; his siblings: Will Davis (Robin) of Schell City, Missouri, Betty Cooper of Odessa, Missouri, Sabetha Davis of Schell City, Missouri, Paula Padilla (Elias) of Fresco, California, and Mark Davis (Joy) of Boise, Idaho; his uncle, Clint Davis (Laura) of Sedalia, Missouri; his parents-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Paul William Davis, Jr. and Connie Sue Davis; grandparents: Ted Malee (Allene), Mamie Johnson (George Leroy), Iva Lewis (Glenn), and Paul Davis, Sr. (Helen); and his brother-in-law, Eric Maus.
In lieu of flowers, Ken would have wanted donations to be made to the Life Church building fund.

Ken was one that was easy to connect with. Our friendship began when he first started working forMDC. He was as always searching for the most knowledge he could find on deer and ducks. Fortunately it was deer that tied us together. Through the years Vicki and I ran the archery shop. Ken would always try to come by and visit with us. Those were great times as often work stopped and Ken and I would talk deer. Fortunately our hunting would run into supper. At first he was very reluctant to accept our offer for a meal. In time he learned it was a blessing to Vicki and I as we loved to see him walk in. In his later years he switch to traditional archery . He became very proficient and competed with the best in the world. He was always number one with me. Love and miss him!
