Kendall Leroy Hilburn, Sr. passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at the age of 84. He was born on July 10, 1941 in San Antonio to Emmett and Virginia Hilburn.

Kendall was a member of Old Rock Baptist Church for many years. He worked at various dairies, was a mechanic at Koepp Chevrolet and later owned and operated a trucking company and auto repair business.

However, Kendall's passion was racing. He drove several race cars, but loved his '67 Camero, which his son Kenny drives to this day. You could always find Kendall racing against several of his family members on Friday and Saturday night.

He also loved watching old westerns, especially the ones with John Wayne, which he watched at least 100 times each, and the WWE. You had a question about a wrestler, he knew the answer, in fact he knew about them all!

Kendall also built his sail line fishing rig. He always enjoyed going to the coast with his wife and kids, fishing all night long.

Kendall was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Virginia Hilburn; sister and her husband, Barbara and Fred Southern; brother and his wife, Robert and Judy Hilburn; and brother-in-law, Bill Upton

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Marion Hilburn; children, Kendall Jr. (Shannon), Tammy (Roy), and Virginia (Glenn); grandchildren, Kendall III, Emily, Cody, Trey, Zach, Mallory, Kyle, and Kaylee; great-grandchildren, Tanner, Colter, Landon, Kaden and Hayden; brother, Norman Hilburn; and sisters, Marion (BeBe) Upton and Arlene Hilburn Sweeney.

Services are scheduled for Wednesday, August 20, 2025, starting with a visitation from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm, with family present from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, at Hurley Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Thursday, August 21, 2025, at the Old Rock Baptist Church, located at 1111 Old Rock Road, Somerset, Texas, starting at 10:00 am, followed by interment at the Old Rock Baptist Church Cemetery.
