Kendrick Skyler Conner Mason

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kendrick Skyler Conner Mason, 21 years old, of Magnolia Delaware who was murdered on May 20th, 2025, at approximately 8:07 pm two weeks before his 22nd birthday. Sadly, Kendrick was not surrounded by his loving family and loved ones when his eyes closed for good.
Kendrick was a loving son, brother, cousin, nephew, uncle, friend, neighbor, and all around genuine kind person who's smile and beautiful eyes lit the entire room. He was a friend to everyone. Overall, he was a beautiful human being inside and out. He was upstanding and always kind and caring.
Kendrick attended Academy of Dover Charter his first two years of school, then Caesar Rodney School District through the 12th grade. Kendrick was scheduled to graduate from CR High School in 2021 during covid when he decided he wanted a do over for his senior year. He attended Dover High School where he graduated in 2022. He went on to study at Delaware Technical Community College. Kendrick's goal was to join the military and the Delaware State Police Department.
Kendrick played football on both CR and Dover High School teams, several state and semi pro teams. He was extremely good at it. He had a forever love for football and would spend a lot of time at the gym, on the field and playing video games with his online friends and family. Kendrick was famous for his mac and cheese and grilled cheese.
His favorite football teams were the Cowboys and Ravens. Kendrick worked as a Substitute teacher in the Capital School District, CR School District. He worked at Walmart for a short while, and he was scheduled to start a new job as a server at AppleBees the day after his death.
Kendrick was very spiritual and loved all types of music. Kendrick mentored young boys taking them to the gym, football field, and encouraging them to do the right thing. H spent lots of time with his nieces and nephews taking them to the movies, bowling, skating and playing video games. His favorite thing was to help anyone in need. His goal was to be the best version of himself he could be. Our lives will be altered forever by his murder.
Kendrick's body has been stolen from us, but his spirit and memories give us comfort and he will always be present. He was deeply loved and will never be forgotten. One of the last few pure hearted souls on this earth has been returned to heaven. For that we will mourn, but his life will forever be celebrated by his loved ones.
Kendrick is survived by his Mother (Lauren Mason) Father (Gregory Mason) four sister (Jennifer Coates) (Ashley Dawson) (Tahniya Dawson) (Vongelique Mason) Four Brothers (Robert Mason) (Anthony Dawson) (Gregory Mason Jr.) (Vaughn Mason) nine nephews, eight nieces and his maternal grandfather, a host of loving great uncles, uncles great aunts, aunts, cousins, friends and his puppy Zeus whom he called his son.
