Kenneth Allen, Jr., a devoted husband, father, and loyal friend, passed peacefully on March 29, 2025, in Union, Kentucky, surrounded by his cherished wife Patricia and beloved daughters. Born on August 25, 1944, in Newport, Kentucky, Kenneth lived a life filled with kindness, dedication, and a profound love for his family.
A faithful member of Life Gate Christian Church for 45 years, and more recently, Seven Hills Church for the past decade, Kenneth’s strong faith guided him throughout his life. He spent 30 years with the Kroger Company as a dairy manager at the Hyde Park Kroger, a role that reflected both his hard work and commitment to serving others. Those who knew Kenneth would speak of his generous spirit; he was the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need.
Kenneth's deep affection for his beloved wife, Patricia Allen (nee Day), was something to behold. They shared a cherished bond of 61 years, built on love and devotion. He was also a proud father to three daughters: Kimberly (Bruce) Helmsing, Gina (Kevin) Delaney, and Jennifer (Jerry) Allen. His daughters were his pride and joy, and he loved them fiercely.
In addition to his immediate family, Kenneth is survived by his sister, Diana (Jim) Reis, as well as seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, who will carry forward his legacy of love and kindness. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Allen, Sr., his mother, Pearl Allen (nee Deaton), his sister, Norma Stevens, and his brother-in-law, Raymond Stevens.
An avid UK basketball fan, Kenneth enjoyed sharing his passions with family and friends, enriching their lives with laughter and enthusiasm. He will be remembered not only for his unwavering support and encouragement but also for the warmth and joy he brought into the lives of everyone he encountered.
Visitation will be held on April 4, 2025, at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northern Kentucky, located at 4350 Dixie Hwy, Erlanger, KY, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, followed by a Funeral Service at 12:30 PM.
