Thompson Harveson & Cole Funeral Home & CrematoryKenneth R. Baierlipp, 81, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2025 with his daughter, Maria, by his side.
Born July 22, 1944 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he was the son of Louis Joseph and Eleanore Barbara (Koelsch) Baierlipp. Kenneth graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Chemistry. In Vietnam, he served as an assault helicopter pilot with the 240th Aviation Company with the call sign “Greyhound 10”.
Following his military service, Kenneth worked as a pilot in various capacities including as a flight instructor for Salida Flying Service, manager and co-owner of Shavano Air serving Salida, Leadville, and Denver, Colorado, an Aerospatiale AS355 helicopter pilot for Tezak Construction, and a Lear and Falcon 50 pilot for Air Ketchum in Idaho. He was also a Falcon 50 pilot proficiency instructor and designated FAA examiner for Simuflite at Dallas Fort Worth Airport.
After his retirement, he designed and implemented multiple off grid solar projects in the Alpine and Fort Davis area of West Texas.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his siblings, Eleanor, Dolores, Clifford and Matthew.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Marilyn Huepers Baierlipp; five children, Maria (Jeff) Walters , Ian (Teri) Baierlipp, Evan (Stefanie) Baierlipp, Hans (Christine) Baierlipp, and Inga (Ty) Rivers; fourteen grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 29, 2025 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2016 Willis Lane, Keller, Texas 76248. Following the Mass, he will be entombed in the Columbarium at the church.
