Kenneth Rodney Bailey

Kenneth Rodney Bailey, a beloved son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2025, at the age of 75 in Rockwall, Texas.

Ken was born on December 3, 1949, in Ranger, Texas. His family later moved to Midwest City, Oklahoma, where he attended Midwest City schools and graduated from Midwest City High School in May 1969. Ken proudly served in the U.S. Army from July 25, 1969 to April 13, 1971, including service in the Vietnam War.

After returning from service, Ken built a successful career in the construction industry as a business owner, remodeling and building homes throughout the Dallas metro area until his retirement in 2008.

Ken was a wonderful, fun-loving man whose joyous approach to life brought happiness to every moment. He was passionate about gardening and took extraordinary pride in having the most beautiful flowers and yard in the neighborhood. He loved traveling and exploring new places, snow skiing, good food and drinks with friends and family. He cherished his time with loved ones, cooking out, joking, laughing, and bringing his vibrant spirit to every occasion. He truly was the life of the party and brought so much joy to those around him.

Above all, Ken loved his family unconditionally.

Ken is survived by his loving wife, Debra Bailey, daughter April Bailey, sons Colby Frederick and Tucker Bailey. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Kenadi Bailey, Braden Burkett, Henley Thompson and Harper Bailey.

Ken was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Bailey, his mother, Marjorie (Bryant) Mitchum, and father Norman Bailey.

He is greatly loved and will be missed by those who knew him.
