Yuet Cheung "Selina"

Yuet "Selina" Cheung Hah a matriarch of extraordinary skill and mindset, departed from this world on November 7, 2025, in Richardson, Texas. Born on October 10, 1936, in Hong Kong, China, Selina's life journey was a testament to her resilience and the deep dedication she harbored for her family.

The daughter of Mr. Cheung and Mrs. Wong both of whom predeceased her, Selina's early years in Hong Kong were shared with her four brothers, who have since passed. In 1958, she joined her life with Shiu Tong "Titus" Hah a union that, until his death, would see them embark on a life full of courage, endurance and growth. Together, they raised a family that would cross oceans and cultures, eventually making their home in the United States.

Selina's legacy is continued through her children: her son, Wilbur Wai-Hung Hah and his wife, Marian Chen-Hah, and her daughter, Josephine Wei-Fong Hah Her life's joy was further multiplied by her granddaughters, Morgan Hah and her husband Cameron Bishop, and Cameron Hah. She also held a special place in her heart for her nephew, Jeffrey Chang and niece, Jiun Hwei Jee along with her spouse, Jason Jewe S. Jee

Upon entry into the United States, Selina's and along with their husband's and children's immigration was sponsored by Mr. Raymond H. and Mrs. Everlyn Jo Kirk, who affectionately became her "American" father and mother. She shared a new family with Evelyn's children, Becky Sue Hayes, Dwaine and John Phillip Moore.

Selina's dedication to her family was evident in every aspect of her life, especially in her role as a homemaker. She took immense pride in her son's achievement as a triple board-certified facial plastic/cosmetic surgeon and in her daughter's success as a certified public accountant. Despite the challenges of raising her family as immigrants, Selina's wise guidance and courageous spirit ensured that her children thrived in their new homeland.

A master in the kitchen, Selina was renowned among family and friends for her exceptional culinary skills. Her hands worked magic with a butcher knife, slicing meat with incredible speed and precision, a talent that never once resulted in injury. Her "American" mother and father and children savored the authentic Chinese dishes she prepared for every meal. Selina cultivated a garden flourishing with Chinese vegetables, not only to nourish her family but also to share with the community, selling the surplus in her spare time.

Music and the cheerful chirping of birds provided a serene backdrop to Selina's life. She often mused that birds were fortunate to fly anywhere they wished, a sentiment that reflected her own free spirit and enduring optimism. Selina's wisdom and courage will be remembered by all who had the privilege to know her. Her life was a beautiful tapestry of dedication, overcoming hardship and the simple joys that make a life well-lived.
