Kenneth Lee Copeland (K.C.) was born third of ten children. He was fortunate to have one of the best mothers in the world in Lucille Rowe.
K.C. was a graduate of Hardy Bible School. He mentored, encouraged, and taught many with his extensive knowledge of God's word. He was one of the first black foreman at Heppenstall SteelCompany. He was the example of excellence for General Motors as aservice advisor and top salesman for thirty years garnering multiple awards and accolades.
K.C. loved his family with an indescribable passion. He enjoyed spending time with his brothers whenever the opportunity presented itself. He traveled the states to make sure his family knew they were loved and appreciated. He was an avid fan of sports, and he loved playing basketball. He was also a low-key pool player. Although he was an uncle to many, he frequently assumed the role of being a father to his nieces and nephews.
K.C. was a long-time member of St. Mark A.M.E. Zion Church where he served under Rev. William Thomas. Through the A.M.E. Zion Allegheny Conference he was appointed Pastor of St. James A.M.E. Zion Church, Indiana, PA for 14 years. After which, he served as pastor of Holliday Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church, Braddock, PA for 14 years. His final service to the Lord was at Homewood A.M.E. Zion Church, Pittsburgh, PA under Presiding Elder Rev. Stanley Dennison and currently, Presiding Elder Rev. William Hogans. Reverend Kenneth Lee Copeland answered the call to serve the Lord and he never wavered in his service and commitment to the Most High.
"I will give thanks to the Lord according to His righteousness,
And will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High"
Psalm 7:17
K.C. is survived by siblings: Frederick Copeland (VA), Reverend Jeanette Carter (PA), Dennis Rowe Sr. (PA) and one, Aunt Loretta Copeland. He joins his wife Essie Copeland, mother Lucille Rowe, his sisters, Penny Thomas, Joanne (Rowe) Johnson, Rose (Rowe) Porter,Wanda Rowe, his brothers Brian Rowe, Joe Rowe, and his grandson Arthur Copeland. He transitioned smoothly into eternity July 27, 2023. Left to cherish his memory are his children: Frederick (Catherine) Copeland, Shawna (long-time friend Glen) Copeland, Kenny Rose and Alwanda (Michael) Jackson; stepchildren Marsha Collins, and Shanita (Douglas) Coleman. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews he loved very much and who also loved him dearly.
