Kenneth F. Cumbers, 85, Green Bay, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2025, at a local nursing home. He was born May 2, 1939, in Green Bay, son of the late Frank and Dorothy (DeKeyser) Cumbers. Ken graduated from Premontre High School and proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1957 to 1959. He married Yvonne Aerts on October 14, 1961, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Wrightstown.
Ken worked at Piggly Wiggly then became an Electrician at Ft. Howard for 35 years, retiring in 1996. He loved serving his country and raising a healthy family of three children. Ken was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #10552 and SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, where he was a Eucharistic Minister and helped with the church picnic.He enjoyed golfing, watching Packer games, bird watching, stamp collecting, and attending Brewer games. Ken really loved having a Hamm's Beer.Survivors include his loving wife, Yvonne; 3 children: Christine (Lyle) Jeske, Ashland, OH, Michael (Kristine) Cumbers, Green Bay, and Mark (Mary) Cumbers, De Pere; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchilden; and a brother and sisters: Carlton (Judy) Cumbers, Cathline (Bob) O'Leary, and Mary Cumbers, all of Green Bay.In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Shantel Cumbers Konop; great grandson, William Konop; brother, Joseph; 6 aunts; 6 uncles; 1 brother-in-law; a nephew, Brian O'Leary; and 2 sisters-in-law, Rosie and Joan Aerts.Private family services will be held. Entombment will be in Allouez Catholic Mausoleum. Malcore Funeral Home is assisting the family.
