Kenneth Dieter, 89, of Richland Center died on Sunday, August 3, 2025 at Harvest Guest Home. He was born on December 16, 1935 in Richland County the son of Leonard and Gertrude (Elliott) Dieter. Ken lived in Richland and Crawford Counties on farms with his parents until he was 18 years old and then left and worked at various jobs. He joined the US Army Reserve from 1957 until 1963, and he had a good friend Hazel Halverson from 1956 until 1966. Ken married Donna Pool in 1970 until their divorce in 1975. He worked construction for many years as a laborer, truck driver, equipment operator, as a logging skidder, drove semi, at Marketing Association, and worked part time at Ed's Family Foods until January 2014. In 1980, Ken met Lois Turner and they married in May 1995 and she preceded him in death in 2018. Ken and Lois liked to travel, fish, hunt, ride bike, and watch racing, football and other sports on TV.
Ken is survived by his brother: Sheldon Lee (Marlene) Dieter of Muscoda,
Sister-in-law: Sharon Dieter of Muscoda;
Brothers-in-law: William Turner of Salem, Oregon,
Fred Turner of Lumberton, New Jersey;
Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Ken was preceded in death by his wife Lois, parents Leonard and Gertrude, brothers and sisters Maxine (Leland) Thomas, Cameron Dieter, Ilif (Fred) Markin, Garneth (Leonard) Dilley, and Keith (Joyce) Dieter.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 11, 2025 at the Pratt Memorial Chapel from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM with a burial to be held in the Richland Center Cemetery at a later date. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with their arrangements.
