Kenneth Joseph Farrell, born on March 3, 1961, in Portsmouth, Virginia, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025, in Chesapeake, Virginia, at the age of 64. With him, he carried a legacy of dedication and love that will forever inspire those who knew him.

Kenneth devoted much of his life to the service of others, both professionally and personally. His time as a firefighter was his passion, rising to the rank of 2nd Lieutenant with New Bern Fire and Rescue, where his calm demeanor and steadfast commitment made a profound difference in countless lives. At the same time working, as a maintenance technician at Craven Regional, now Carolina East Medical Center, in New Bern, North Carolina, Kenneth approached every task with skillful care and an eye for detail, always ensuring that his work contributed positively to the wellbeing of staff and patients alike.

Though his professional pursuits were commendable, Kenneth's true passion lay with his family. He was a dedicated family man who cherished every moment spent with those closest to him. His love for his three children and granddaughter was boundless, and his pride in their accomplishments was unmistakable. Kenneth's five siblings were not just family, but lifelong friends, sharing in triumphs and challenges alike.
