Kenneth Randall Gable, age 75 of Bremen, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. Born in Rome, Georgia, on September 15, 1948, he was the son of the late J.P. Gable and the late Mary Bess Gaston Gable.
A graduate of the University of West Georgia, he earned his masters degree in 1974 and was a lifelong educator in the Haralson County School System.. Ken taught history several years at Buchanan Junior High and then transferred to Haralson County High School where he was a Guidance Counselor helping students navigate the high school years and beyond until his retirement. An avid Tennessee Volunteers fan, he enjoyed watching all their sporting events. In his leisure time, Ken enjoyed gardening and talking with people. Spending time with his family was his ultimate enjoyment.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 52 years, Dora Gable; his sons and daughter-in-law, Cal Gable and Ethan & Wendi Gable, all of Bremen; and his brother, Barry & Julie Gable of Lindale. Also surviving are his precious grandchildren, Paige & Luke Stevenson of Rockmart, Katie Gable of Waco, and Grey & Trevor Jens of Bremen, his constant furry companion, Scruffy the cat, and many friends.
In accordance with Ken's wishes he will be cremated.
Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is honored to serve the cremation needs of the Gable family.
