MAKANDA - Kenneth "Ken" Eugene Hahn, age 69, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022 at his home in Makanda.
Ken was born on March 10, 1953 in Marble Hill, Missouri to Eldon and Lovier (Rose) Hahn. Ken married Brenda Johnston on February 10, 1973 in Granite City, Illinois.
Ken served his country in the U.S. Air Force as a Weapons Mechanic and Armament Installer from 1973 - 1977. He then went on to work in the steel mill in the hot strip rolling mills where he retired after 42 years. Ken loved gardening and firearms reloading ammunition. He was always generous, devoted and loving. Ken was always there to support you when you needed him.
Ken is survived by his wife of 49 years, Brenda Hahn; son, Eric Hahn; his wife Heather and their three children Joshua, Elise and Evelyn; daughter, Kristina Hahn; brother, David Hahn; and sister, Phyllis Quinn.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jack and Rodger Hahn.
A time of visitation will be held from 11:00am until 1:00pm on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Meredith Funeral Home in Carbondale.
