Kenneth "Kenny" LeRoy Hanson was born July 15, 1943 in Estherville, Iowa. The son of Laurence and Eldora Hanson, Kenny was the third of five children. He grew up on the family farm in Estherville and graduated from Gruver High School.
Kenny was an avid hunter, fisherman and snowmobiler. He never missed an opening pheasant weekend. Kenny's true passion was farming. Tending the fields, harvesting the crops and maintaining the machinery, never missing a beat.
Kenny started J&K Snowmobiles where he lived out his passion for snowmobiles. He sold Arctic Cat Snowmobiles, but his heart was with his '84 El Tigre snowmobile.
On January 12, 1974, Kenny married the love of his life, Judyth Jorgensen at Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Estherville. To this union three children were born: Julie, Cory and Monica.
Family was important to Kenny, especially his grandchildren.
Kenny went to be with his heavenly father on August 15, 2025, surrounded by his family.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 51 years, Judy; his children, Cory (Marcia) and Monica (Odi) Christianson; grandchildren, Hailey & Aidan Hanson and Paige & Leah Christianson; step grandchildren, Aliviah & Ryker Bibler; brothers, Dick (Karen) and Steve (Karen); brother-in-law, Ron Cherland; brother-in-law, Gary (Phyllis) Jorgensen; sister-in-law, Linda (Philip) Olson; many nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog, Misty.
Kenny was welcomed into Heaven by his parents, daughter Julie, sisters, Marilyn (Roger) Holtey and Marcia Cherland, and father and mother-in-law, John and Betty Jorgensen.
