Kenneth J. Hanson, age 66, of Owatonna, MN, passed away January 12, 2026.
Kenneth James, the son of James and Lois (Kolve) Hanson, was born on July 4, 1959, in Rochester, MN. He graduated from Ostrander High School and later served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Ken worked in the communications industry for many years as a telephone repairman for a company in Waterville, then after retirement with Century Link in their supply department. Ken enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson with his brother Keith. He was united in marriage to Judith Hoffman on February 11, 1988, at the Saron Lutheran Church in Strasburg, CO.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Hanson; step-children, Michele Weigel (Michael), Michael Winter, and Mark Shoemaker; six step- grandchildren; one step great grandson; brother, Keith Hanson (Kari); and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death his parents, James and Lois.
Graveside services will be held at a later date at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Preston, MN with military honors.
