Hedeen, Kenneth C., 72 of Largo, Florida passed away December 28, 2024. Ken was born in Detroit, Michigan, which he always spoke about fondly. Ken worked as a Funeral Director in three states, Michigan, North Carolina and Florida. He moved to Florida in 2004 from North Carolina where he worked for Hubbell Funeral Home, but really for all of the families he tirelessly served throughout his life. Ken never forgot a family he served and became an extended family member to countless families.
When Ken was not at the Funeral Home he cheered everything Detroit (Tigers, Lions, Red Wings). He also loved 60's and 70's music and was part of the Jimmy Buffet fan club here in Pinellas County. Ken loved the water and his multiple boats, as well as being involved in the Clearwater Power Squadron. He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Judy; two sons, Daniel (Cindy) Hedeen of Livonia, Michigan and David (Ashley) Hedeen of Stamford, Connecticut; mother Elizabeth Hedeen of Detroit, Michigan; brother Franklin Hedeen of Fenton, Michigan; sister Beverly Belau of Detroit, Michigan; granddaughter Hailey; great-grandson Jett; and his faithful dog Jackson.
Visitation will be at Hubbell Funeral Home, 499 N. Indian Rocks Road, Belleair Bluffs on Saturday, January 4, 2025 from 12 Noon until the start of the memorial service at 1:00 PM.
