God called our Dad, Kenneth D. Hellmann, home on October 25th, 2025, at the age of 86. Ken was born in Milwaukee and lived in S.E. Wisconsin his entire life. He is predeceased by his high school sweetheart and our mom Patrica F. Hellmann. They met at Greendale high school and married immediately upon graduation. They loved each other for 57 years until our mother's death in 2015. We take comfort knowing that they are now together again in heaven.
After graduation Ken served in the Navy on the aircraft carrier Lake Champlain as a member of the VS-30 squadron. He then managed Friedman's clothing stores for 18 years before opening his own store, Hellmann's fine men's wear, in Hales Corners. He also worked for Holz motor company selling cars before playing a very significant role in starting Hillcrest Builders and contributing to its success in Sheboygan County. After retiring Ken always loved horses and contributed his time as a teamster, carriage driving, for many functions and giving tours at the Historical Wade House.
Ken was also very active and proud of his involvement in Freemasonry. He was a 58-year member of Lake Lodge in Milwaukee as well as serving as Master of Cassia lodge in Plymouth twice. He was also a Knight's Templar, 32-degree Scottish rite mason and active member of Tripoli Shrine in Milwaukee.
Ken was the son of Alfred and Margaret Hellmann. He and Patrica had two sons, Tod and Tad. He loved his two grandsons Charles and Franklin. He also leaves behind cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
God Bless you Dad until we meet again.
