Along with his parents, Ken is reunited in passing with his brother, William "Bill" Herring.
Ken proudly served our country in the United States Army Reserves. Following his honorable discharge from the military, Ken went on to become a skilled salesman for Jostens. After 35 years of fitting hundreds of students with their life-long keepsakes, Ken was able to retire and enjoy the finer things in life. In his free time, Ken relished time spent with family and friends. He was a member of Myrtle Beach Christian Church and will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
Left to cherish Ken's memory are his adoring wife of over fifty two years, Frances Herring; son, Jason Herring and his wife, Debra of Myrtle Beach; daughter, Jaimie Heckler of Myrtle Beach; three grandchildren, Jouli, Carly, & Cole Heckler; as well as many supportive friends and neighbors.
A celebration of Ken's life will be held 10:00am Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Myrtle Beach Christian Church, 1226 Burcale Rd, Myrtle Beach, SC 29579.
At the request of the family, please consider memorial contributions in lieu of flowers. Donations in Ken's name may be made to St. Jude Cancer Research at, www.cancer.org or to the Wounded Warriors Project, 1990 Fordham Drive, Suite 100, Fayetteville, NC 28304.
