Kenneth "Ken" Lee Jackson II
Windham, ME
Kenneth Lee Jackson II, died on June 14, 2023 at Maine Medical Center. He was born on March 27, 1947 in Farmington, ME the son of Kenneth Lee and Lillian G. (Hill) Jackson.
During the school years he lived and went to school in Hollis, Maine; however, he and the family would spend summers at the farm in North New Portland. He graduated from Bonnie Eagle High School in 1965. Then he attended Bentley School of Accounting and Finance in Boston for 3 years, transferring and finishing his degree in education at University of Maine at Orono. He briefly taught elementary Social Studies, but found that it did not suit him. He worked for many years for McDonald's as a manager, he moved on to manage with Stop and Go Convince stores. He completed his career with Cumberland Farms as Regional Internal Field Auditor, retiring after 25+ years with that company.
Ken was an avid fan all the New England sport teams; you could often find him watching a Patriots or Celtics game. Anytime they lost, he would always say, "It's a rebuilding year." He looked forward to and loved watching the Olympics. He would keep tally of all the wins, losses, and where the USA was in the medal count.
He was an avid collector of many things: coins, buffalo figures, Disney (specifically, Uncle Scrooge), and ALL things Pepsi. He was never found without a Diet Pepsi close by.
He was preceded in death by his father (1958), mother (2006) and his sister, Barbara "Barbie" (2014).
He is survived by his sister Margaret Frances Stone of Tennessee, his children Kenneth Lee Jackson III and his wife Micki of Texas, Jennifer Anne Willard and her husband Mark of New Hampshire, Douglas Lee Jackson of Maine, and Sarah Jane Jackson and fiancé Jason Medina of Windham. He was "Bumpa" to his two beloved grandchildren Aiden Jacob Hall and Isabel Lillian Bates also of Windham. He was loved by many beloved nieces and nephews of whom he was a father figure to; they all called him Uncle Kennie. Also, he remained friends with his two former wives, and mothers to his children, Roberta Jackson and Lisa Jackson.
Visiting hours will be from 2-4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21 at Dolby Blais and Segee, 434 River Road, Windham with the service to follow at 4. The burial will be held at East New Portland Cemetery at a later time.
