Mr. Kenneth Lamar Jones, age 70, of Silver Creek, Georgia, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Kenneth was born in Rome, Georgia on July 8, 1954, to the late Henry Cecil Jones and Othella Jones (formerly Cline).
Survivors include his two children, Jennifer Whitaker (Jake) and Bradley Jones (Stevie Ivey); and their mother, Sherrill Kay Jones; his grandchildren, Ivey Whitaker and Hollis Whitaker; his siblings, Leonard Jones (Terry), Barbara Carr (Randy), and Roy Jones (Kristie); as well as several beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
Kenneth was a hardworking man and retired from Georgia Power after 28 years of loyal service. In his earlier years, he served as deacon and member of Unity Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing guitar. Kenneth had an unmatched sense of humor and lived for making other people laugh. He was a selfless man who never met a stranger and would talk to and care for anyone. Kenneth was very loved in this life, and he loved in return. He will be sorely missed.
