Kenneth Aaron Hurwitz (June 9, 1943 - September 12, 2025)

Kenneth Hurwitz, 82, of Berwyn, PA, passed away peacefully at home from natural causes on September 12, 2025, surrounded by his wife and loved ones, while wearing his favorite Flamin’ Hot Doritos t-shirt, just a few days after celebrating his 58th wedding anniversary.

Born in Somerville, MA, in 1943 to Gilmore and Elizabeth Hurwitz, Ken spent his early childhood in Germantown, PA. He began high school with Central High’s Class 214, graduated from Cheltenham in 1960, and earned his BS and MBA from Drexel University, where he also taught accounting. Ken ran his own CPA and real estate management practice for over 50 years.

Preceded in death by his parents, Ken is survived by his wife, Simmi, his children Jamie Perrello (Jim), Jon (Debbie), and Bill (Lisa), and his seven grandchildren, Max, Nate, Maggie, Jake, Lucy, Hannah, and Henry. He is also survived by his sisters Diane (Fred) and Ina (the late Andy), and their families. Poppop was a devoted father and grandfather who cherished time with family and friends. He was a self-taught artist, golfer, active stock and option investor, and avid sports fan.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Levine Funeral Home, 2811 W Chester Pike, Broomall, PA 19008, at 2:30 PM. Donations to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
