Kenneth Robert Koenig Kenneth Koenig, age 84 of Leland, NC, passed away peacefully on the morning of December 24, 2024.
Born in Passaic, NJ, Kenneth was the beloved son of Benjamin and Sarah Koenig. He is survived by his loving wife Shirley of 62 years of marriage, son Michael Koenig and wife Katie, daughter Stacy Giardino and husband Paul, sister Judith Campbell and husband Jack, and granddaughter Sara Giardino.
Kenneth's life was marked by his unwavering commitment to his family, his faith, and his community. He was known for his kindness and generosity.
Kenneth was a man of many talents and interests. He enjoyed woodworking, bowling, and archery.
He proudly served his country in the US Army. He was a faithful member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Prior to retirement, Kenneth worked as a salesman in the bakery Industry for over 35 years.
Kenneth's memory will be cherished by all who knew him, and his legacy will live on through the lives he touched.
A Memorial Service for Kenneth will be held on Friday, January 3rd at 11:00 am at St. Paul's Lutheran Church at 12 North Sixth Street, Wilmington, 28401.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Kenneth's name to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, by donating HERE.
