Kenneth Gerald Luttrell

Kenneth "Gerald" Luttrell, age 83, of Frankfort, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Ashton Grove in Georgetown, Kentucky.
He was born on July 6, 1942, in Hazard, Kentucky, to the late George and Edna Luttrell.
In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Richard Luttrell and William George Luttrell, and his beloved dog, Gigi.
Survivors include his brother, Larry Joe (Peggy Sue) Luttrell; his sister-in-law, Rebecca Luttrell; a special niece and caregiver, Tina Walker; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
Gerald was an avid University of Kentucky fan and a genuine people person who enjoyed spending time with others. He had a passion for collecting fine automobiles, was known for his warm smile and gratitude toward others, enjoyed playing whack-a-balloon, and loved boating on the Kentucky River from his dock at the Big Eddy.
Gerald was a faithful member of Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church in Midway, Kentucky. He loved the Lord and his church and especially enjoyed the Wednesday night fellowship meals.
He dedicated more than 57 years of service to the Kentucky State Government, working within the Dental Department and Human Resources. Throughout his career, he traveled extensively across the state with the Dental Association.
Visitation will be held for family at 10:00 a.m, open for public from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 8th at Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church in Midway, Kentucky, with Bro. Todd Lester officiating. Burial will follow at Frankfort Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church Building Fund, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or the American Alzheimer's Association.
