Kenneth Ray Marler

Cross Hill, SC – Kenneth Ray Marler, age 85, passed away peacefully at his home on August 21, 2025. He was the son of the late William Allen and Ruby Marler. Ray was the loving husband of the late Mildred Nations Marler. He was honorably discharged from the United States Navy, after which he dedicated his life to becoming a devoted and loving husband and father. He was happiest outdoors -- constantly camping, grilling and enjoying nature with his sidekick and beloved grandson, Brandon. Family and friends knew him as a man who lived fully and loved deeply. To those closest to him, he will always be "Daddy," "Dad," and "Poppy." At the end of his journey, he left this world as he lived his life – doing it his way. He is survived by his children, Lisa Mole and her husband Billy, Ken Marler, and Greg Marler; his grandchildren, Brandon, Austin, Noah, and Claire; and his sister, Bobbie Marler Styles and her husband Don. Ray is preceded in death by his brothers Dr. William Allen Marler and James Robert Marler. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
