Kenneth McCarrey Obituary
Kenneth and his young family moved to Georgia in his early 20's after graduating from University of Illinois. He finally settled into an accounting career.
Kenneth was a devout Catholic and shared his time and education volunteering at the church wherever the need was.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, and his late wife and sons and 2 of his brothers.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Kathleen. When they married he willing and lovingly stepped into the role of Dad to her 2 children and Gramps to 7 grandchildren. Kenneth was welcomed by his wife's large family.
Kenneth is also survived by his 2 sisters Darlene and Becky and one niece and her husband and their son.
Kenneth was known for his sense of humor, love of life, generosity to others. He loved animals and made sure even the strays had food.
Kenneth was a good man, humble, loving, faithful and will be missed by all.
Services to honor and celebrate Kenneth's life will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 11 o'clock at St. Matthew Catholic Church. Visitation will take place on Friday, September 13, 2024, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Parrott Funeral Home.

May Ken rest in eternal peace with Jesus and may Kathleen know the love and support of her parish family. Ken touched my life over 12 years ago when he started delivering lunches for our summer lunch program. His selflessness and generosity and sense of humor will be forever missed. Kathleen's witness to me of love, loyalty and selflessness will forever be cherished. My prayers are with the entire family.

Getting to know Ken through our Summer Lunch Program and then having the amazing blessing of spending time with Ken and Kathleen at their home have been some of my most special memories. Watching Kathleen take such good care of her wonderful husband has been a witness of true love, loyalty and selflessness to me. May he rest in eternal peace with Jesus and may Kathleen know the love and support of her parish family.

I waited 40yrs to meet man that could make my heart smile. That was Ken. Our time together was not nearly long enough. We shared a wonderful love and he was able to tell me that even until the end. We kept our promises to each other.
