Mildred Brown Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Parrott Funeral Home & Crematory on Jan. 27, 2026.
Mildred Louise Pullen Brown, aged 78, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026, in Newnan, Georgia. Born on March 1, 1947, in Kilmichael, Mississippi, she lived a life filled with love, dedication, and service to her family and community.

Mildred was the beloved wife of David Brown, with whom she shared 62 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life centered around family and mutual support. She is survived by her devoted husband, their cherished son, David Lyn Brown, and his wife, Holly. Her legacy continues through her adored grandchildren: Christopher Brown and his wife, Darian, Tyler Brown, Adriana Brown, and Zellie Grace Brown. Her family was everything to her, and she found immense joy in being surrounded by them.

Mildred's career as a stenographer for Fulton County was marked by her diligence and professionalism. Upon retiring, Mildred and David opened a "you pick it" muscadine farm, where she welcomed visitors with warmth and generosity. Her passion for life extended to her love of poker, where she excelled in her league, enjoying both the game and the camaraderie it brought.

Preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Mattie Pullen, her sisters Laverne DeLapp and Mary Pullen, her brother Billy Pullen, and her in-laws Frank and Francis Brown, Orelia and Bobby Thomas, and Ralph Brown, Mildred is also survived by her sister Angie Stansbery and her husband Gregg, and her sister-in-law Sheri Brown, many nieces and nephews and her life-long friend, Patsy Williford. Her family and friends will forever cherish the memories of her vibrant spirit and unwavering love.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026, at 11 o'clock in the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Parrott Funeral Home and Crematory.

Mildred's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and friendship. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
