Kenneth “Ken” Meers of St Charles, Mo, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Bessie Lorene "Rene" Meers; cherished son of the late Edgar and Norine Meers; devoted father of Anthony (The late Nancy) Holmes, Daniel (The late Cam) Meers, David (Stacey) Meers; loving grandfather of Toni (Michael) Ladefian, Trisha (Jason) Perry, Maggi (Chris) O'Neal, Mycah (Brendan) Norwine, Aaron (Kyndal) Meers, Mallory Meers, Blake (Emily) Meers, Abbey (Anthony) Westermann, Bo (Camille) Meers; treasured great-grandfather of Regan, Avery, Addison, Ava, Tessa, Elijah, Levi, Colton, Gabi, Jesse, Noah, Jovie, Lily, Nolan, Gavin, and Wes; dear brother of Arlene (The late Don) Foster, Carolyn (Don) Bren, and Roger (Debbie) Meers. Preceded in death by grandchild, Jesse Holmes, great-grandchildren, Sophia, Evan, and Ella, and three Brothers, Henry (The late Kathleen) Meers, Ronald (the late Loretta) Meers, and Dale Meers.
Kenneth loyally served in the Army and went on to work as an electrician for Monsanto. He and Rene were married for 59 wonderful years. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, and a truly great man. Known for his reserved nature and strong work ethic, Kenneth had quiet wisdom that filled the room without needing words. A collector of miniature tractors and pigs, he brought joy and character to those around him. Kenneth was generous, kind, and deeply loved by all. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in Kenneth's name to St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or Calvary Church.
