Kenneth W. Mendyk Jr. passed away on July 22, 2025. He was born on August 15. 1961 in Chicago, IL to parents Kenneth and Laura (Jeffery) Mendyk Sr.

He was the kind of person who could fix just about anything; cars, broken gadgets, squeaky doors, you name it, he'd figure it out. If it had wires, wheels, or needed a little WD-40, Ken was your guy. He had a real gift for working with his hands and was always ready to lend them to anyone who needed help.

A true fan of sci-fi movies and anything with a cool soundtrack, Ken could spend hours lost in other worlds on the screen or in the rhythm of a great tune. He had a large collection of movies, his favorites being horror and sci-fi.

More than anything, Ken was a proud father. His children were his greatest joy, and he never missed a chance to brag about them, support them, or just be there when they needed him.

He'll be deeply missed by all who knew him-but his stories, his music, his laugh, and the things he built (and fixed) will live on.

Ken is survived by his Mother Laura, his children Michael, Scott, Kristina. and their mother Margie, his Siblings Debbie Mendyk Struve, and Michael P. (Jennifer Ruby) Mendyk, Grandchildren Brayden and Evelyn, nieces Samantha Struve-Noh and Gillian Mendyk, and nephews Alexander Mendyk and Derek Struve.

Ken is preceded in death by his father Kenneth Sr. and his brother-in-law as well as best friend Robert Struve Jr.
