Visitation will be Thursday, August 7th from 4pm-8pm and again Friday, August 8th from 12pm-2pm. Funeral Service will be held Friday, August 8, 2025 at 2:00pm from the chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home, 5110 Gallatin Pike, Nashville, TN 37216. Interment to immediately follow. Kenneth was a native Nashvillian, born June 8th, 1950 to Lois and Aubrey Mitchell. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Janice S. Robinson (Mitchell), together 40 years. He is also survived by his two younger brothers Mark and Phillip and his nephews and niece; Nathan, Jeremy and Lauren. He also has two great nieces; Ava Mitchell and Alexandria Jackson. Kenneth attended Isaac Litton High School and received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee and his Doctorate of Chiropractic Medicine at Life College in Georgia. Kenneth had a very successful practice in Nashville and had a reputation as a highly skilled and thorough Chiropractor. He loved helping many patients while also garnering many friends during his practice. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed living on a farm and horse ranch in Kingston Springs with Janice. He loved animals and always had a menagerie of cats, dogs, and even adopted a peacock that wandered onto the farm. Kenneth had a lot of talents and was known for his skills in art, photography, woodworking, painting, gardening, canning, cooking (making it his own that everyone loved) and maintaining all of his technical computers, networks, and medical devices. He was an excellent swimmer, slalom skier, scuba diver, and high diver. He had a mechanical and electrical aptitude and was adept at about anything he decided to pursue. As he would say: "They built the pyramids didn't they?" His mechanical interest started when he built race cars race cars in his younger days. In the 90s he researched then installed a solar energy system with 2 inverters, power storage and a wind mill. He played trumpet in the Isaac Litton Marching Band and had a deep love for music. He played washboard and sang in a Bluegrass band while at Life College and continued his love of music hosting Bluegrass Picks' at the farm. He was known for his sense of humor and his ability to tell a good story. He loved fast boating and fast cars, horseback riding (not so fast). He was a very social person and loved to gathering together with friends and he would often do the cooking/grilling. He also had a quiet side and loved the stillness of living on the ranch. He loved reading and researching the Bible and professed his love of Christ and his faith in the resurrection. Janice and Kenneth met during their high school years and built a loving life together as a couple, enjoying their life on the farm and working as a team to build his chiropractic practice. Janice was always by his side and she nurtured him through his health challenges at the very end. He will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of making his acquaintance.
