Kenneth W. Mullen, 98, passed away peacefully December 31, 2022 with family by his side. He was born in Oneida June 17, 1924, to the late C. Ed and Mae (Fries) Mullen. He was a 1942 graduate of Appleton High School. On September 10, 1949, Ken married his beloved wife, Elsie (Davis), sharing many years of happiness until her passing in 2009. Together they farmed in Oneida, before moving to Green Bay, and then to Ashwaubenon. Ken worked for Andrews Oil, Sears, and retired from Red Owl where he worked as a diesel mechanic. Ken was a devoted husband and father. He often took the family, and sometimes half the neighborhood, on camping trips. In retirement he and Elsie bowled, played cards and frequented the gym. He belonged to Nativity Church, where he shared a community of friends.
Ken is survived by his children: Dennis (Julie); Douglas; Linda; all of Green Bay; Carol (Will Hirama), Arlington, VA; Leonard (Lori), Menasha; Gail (Wayne) Vann, Green Bay; Diane (Michael) Conway, Kissimmee, FL; Gary, Green Bay. He is survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and sister-in-law Judy Davis. He also has many nieces and nephews who cared for him very much.
In addition to his parents and wife Elsie, Ken was preceded in death by two sons, Clifford and Joseph; brothers and sisters: Roman (Myrtle) Mullen, Emmet (Lucille) Mullen, Eben (Gertrude) Mullen, LaRose (Bernard) VandenLangenberg, and Jean (Rich) Vandehei; brothers-in-law: Ernest (Irene) Davis, Sam Davis; sister-in-law: Esther (Harold) Marquardt; daughters-in-law: Victoria Mullen and Brenda Mullen.

Back in about early 1950's our family lived in a house on the farm. My uncle Ken loaded his truck with feed to be ground and mixed at the feed mill in Seymour. I was about 4 or 5 years old, I was playing in the back of the truck, Ken took off to Seymour not knowing I was in the back. I was not concerned, it was fun for Me. My Mon and Dad were worried until We got back, I road in the cab of the truck on the way back.
