Kenneth Gray Nester

Kenneth G. Nester, age 81, passed away July 26, 2022. Kenneth was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a faithful member of Faith Fellowship Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He retired from UPS in 1995 after 32 years where he met many friends, who became extended family. He enjoyed cars of all kinds including NASCAR racing and collected many antique vehicles. With these unique collectibles he enjoyed driving, showing and sharing with friends. He also became a huge fan of Mississippi State through his children and special friends from UPS. While in retirement he and Audrey enjoyed traveling the US with friends to visit family, show cars, watch races and root for the bulldogs at various sporting events.
He was born in Ararat, VA, February 14, 1941, to Aaron T Nester and Wavie R Nester.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Reford D. Nester and Dean T. Nester.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Audrey; children, Sherrie (Mark) Hutson, Patricia (Don Bell) Oak, Bryce (Renee) Freebury, Kimberly (Jim) Miles, Gray (Molly) Nester; grandchildren, Stephanie, Melissa, Julie, Ashley, Aaron, Candace, Bethany, Chandler, Jordan, Carley, Grayson; 13 great-grandchildren; siblings, Shelby N Marshall and Frances N Smith; several nieces and nephews; and countless lifelong friends.
Family will receive friends Friday, July 29th from 2-3pm at Faith Fellowship Cumberland Presbyterian Church with a service to follow at 3pm, Rev Greg Tucker, officiating. Graveside service will be 1pm Saturday July 30th at Unity Church Cemetery in Ararat, Virginia.
