Mr. Kenneth Lloyd Nix was born on February 13, 1961, to Herbert Leon and Georgia Faye Minor Nix and passed away on May 15, 2025, at the age of 64 at Gadsden Regional Hospital. He is preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother, Charlotte Nix; and his grandparents, Ersie and Cleo Nix and George and Louise Minor.
Ken is a pillar of the Altoona and Walnut Grove Communities and is a Patriot with a love for West End High School.
Mr. Nix is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Kendra and Mitch Koch; his son and daughter-in-law, Brock and Kristi Nix; his son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Jennifer Thomas; his grandchildren, Nate Koch, Kennedi Nix, Kenzli Nix, Kentli Nix, and Ryleigh Thomas; his siblings, Pam Dodd, Anita and Jeff Massey, Belinda Nix, Barry Collier, Ashley and Marshall Kidd; and his aunt and uncle, Gerald and Lisa Blankenship.
Matt Harris will conduct a Graveside Service on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at 3:00 pm at Morton's Chapel Cemetery then immediately following there will be a Memorial Service at West End High School Gymnasium beginning at 3:30 pm.
Robin Grant, Chad Hall, Frankie Glasscox, Ricky Watkins, Nate Koch, and Mitch Koch have been asked to serve as Pallbearers!
The family has asked for all flowers to be delivered to West End High School Gymnasium on Sunday between 8am-12pm
