Mr. Kenneth O'Brian, 85, passed away on November 23, 2022, in Clay County. Kenneth was born on December 30, 1936, in Oktibbeha County, the son of the late Horace and Dovie O'Brian. Kenneth served in the United States Army. He was employed at Babcock and Wilcox for 40 years and he was a self-employed farmer. He was a member of Cedar Bluff Baptist Church. He married Pat Cullom O'Brian on February 13, 1964, in Columbus.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Marilyn Wyatt and Jean Bowman and two brothers, Dennis and Arlis O'Brian.
Visitation will be on Saturday, December 3, 2022, from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at Calvert Funeral Home in West Point. Funeral services will be on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Karl Novak officiating and assisted by Bro. Todd Chesser. Burial will follow in the Cedar Bluff Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery in Cedar Bluff. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Pat O'Brian of Cedar Bluff: one daughter, Tina O'Brian of West Point: three sons, Kenneth "Kenny" O'Brian, Jr. of Cedar Bluff, Scott O'Brian (Kay) of West Point, and Clay O'Brian of West Point: eight grandchildren; Candy Vanegas (Manuel), Jenna Ward (Jonathan), Savannah Cox (Michael), Kristin Taylor (Josh), Jonathan O'Brian, Ethan O'Brian, Kenneth W. O'Brian, and Mary Beth Shurden (Jonathan): eleven great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Betty Tribble and Maxine Jennings, both of Cedar Bluff.
Pallbearers will be Kenny O'Brian, Scott O'Brian, Clay O'Brian, Jonathan O'Brian, Ethan O'Brian, and Kenneth W. O'Brian.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Ned Miller, Rodney Johnson, O. M. Johnson, Rev. Eddie Jones, and Friends of the Family.
Memorials may be made to Cedar Bluff Baptist Church, P.O. Box 65, Cedar Bluff, Mississippi 39741.
