Kenneth Painter Obituary
Born December 15, 1965 in Latrobe, he was a son of the late Kenneth Wayne Painter & Victoria M. (Shermenti) Coleman.
Ken attended Saltsburg High School, and was a 1984 graduate of Apollo-Ridge. He worked as a highway foreman for PennDOT, retiring in 2024. Ken was a member of the Shelocta Sportsmen Club.
Ken was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing. He liked helping his wife Bonnie at farmers markets selling plants. Ken loved hanging out with his buddy, his dog Rue.
Ken is survived by his wife of 26 years, Bonnie L. (Biro) Painter; step-sister, Ursula D. (Joe Rankin) Coleman of Saltsburg; his favorite uncle, Jack Shermenti of Saltsburg; his favorite cousin, Mike (Sis/Susan) Shermenti, Jr. of Saltsburg; many other family members and friends; and his fur buddies, Piper, Rue, Xena, and DeDe.
Friends will be received in the Curran Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 701 Salt St., Saltsburg, on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of service at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Lee Rupert officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ken's memory to Four Footed Friends, 220 Beck Road, Indiana, PA 15701.

I remember Ken from school as he was an upper classmen he graduated with my brother and sister. His nickname at apollo ridge was (pointer ) and also had the privilege of working with him at Penn dot.rest in peace Kenny
