James Arthur "Art" Stramaski, 85, of Saltsburg, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2025.
Born January 27, 1940 in Avonmore, he was a son of the late Paul Stramaski & Sara Margaret (Rupert) Stramaski.
Art graduated from Saltsburg High School and proudly served our country with the United States Army/National Guard. He worked for National Roll in Avonmore, drove bus for Stewart's Bus Lines and after retirement, worked security and drove bus for The Kiski School, worked with his son Mark at Bull's Eye Security, Inc, and helped his late wife Barb with her floral business.
Art loved Saltsburg, and served as a police officer, was a member of borough council, a member and custodian at the Saltsburg United Methodist Church, life member of the Saltsburg Fire Hall, and former member of the Saltsburg Lions Club.
Art enjoyed hunting, working on crossword puzzles, and loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann (Marts) Stramaski, who passed away on April 9, 2025; a grandson, Kyle; and his sister, Phyllis Yingling.
Art is survived by his children, Brian (Lori) Stramaski of North Huntington, Debbie (John) Dick of Plum, Amy (Jack) Goblesky of Monroeville, A.J. (Kristie) Stramaski of Champaign, IL, Mark (Meghan) Stramaski of Saltsburg; thirteen grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, January 14, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Curran Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 701 Salt St., Saltsburg. Additional visitation will be held in the Saltsburg United Methodist Church, 813 Salt St., Saltsburg, PA 15681 on Thursday, January 15, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Sharon Waltenbaugh officiating. Following the services, military honors will be accorded by the Saltsburg American Legion Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Art's memory to the Saltsburg United Methodist Church at the above listed address.
