Kenneth Christopher "Chris" Phillips

Funeral services celebrating the life of Kenneth Christopher “Chris” Phillips, 44, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 8, 2023, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Rev. Clyde Walker and Rev. Jimmy Masters officiating.  Interment will follow in the Lapine Assembly of God Church Cemetery in West Monroe, LA.

 

Chris was born on May 30, 1979, and passed away on December 4, 2023.  He was known as one of the best tree men in Northeast Louisiana.  There wasn’t a tree that Chris couldn’t bring down.  He also loved to bass fish and taking care of his truck.  Chris is preceded in death by his grandparents, J.T. and Geneva Taylor, Oren and Barbara Gates, and James Kenneth Phillips.

 

Survivors include his parents, James and Kathy Phillips; sisters, Jaime Phillips and Jennifer Phillips; daughters, Alexis Canter and husband, Beau and Kaydee Grace Cook; nephews, Gage Smith, Landon Smith, Cayden Wall, and Ryder Trahan; and great niece, Brynleigh Smith.

 

Pallbearers will be Cayden Wall, Gage Smith, Landon Smith, John Trahan, Larry Baxter and J.R. Taylor. Honorary pallbearer will be DWayne Masters.

 

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday.
