Kenneth Pollock Obituary

Kenneth Layne Pollock, age 65, passed away on the morning of January 12, 2025, at Encompass Health and Rehabilitation in Sandy, Utah. He was born on June 23, 1959, in Panguitch, Utah, to Dannie K. Pollock and Arta Beth Alvey.

Ken grew up in Taylorsville, Utah, where he graduated from Cottonwood High School. In the summer of 1980, he met the love of his life, Tamera (Tammy) Ross, while boating, one of his favorite pastimes. They married in February of 1981 and were later sealed in the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. Ken and Tammy raised two daughters in West Jordan, Utah, before later moving to South Jordan, Utah.

Ken had a long and dedicated career as a tile setter before becoming the proud owner of Nuclear Testing Services, where he concluded his professional journey. He held several positions within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he developed a strong faith and a deep love for God.

Ken had a passion for history and the outdoors, enjoying activities such as boating, fishing, golfing, camping, and hunting. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family and friends, often sharing a story or a joke to bring smiles to those around him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Tamera (Ross) Pollock; his daughters, Cassidy (Daniel) Stokes and Lindsy (Jeff) Heath; his beloved grandson, Camron Pollock; his mother, Arta Beth Pollock; and brother Dannie Joe (Roxanne) Pollock. He is also survived by many wonderful family members and friends who will forever remember his warmth and kindness.

Ken was preceded in death by his father, Dannie K. Pollock; his sister, Christy Geneal Sims; Father-in-Law, William Ross, Mother-in-Law, Claudette Ross; as well as many aunts, uncles, family members, and friends.

Ken's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
